Title: Hydrodynamic scaling limits: stochastic and generalized

Abstract: My presentation is split into past and future: For the past, I will recall the early 1980ies when Errrico and the small group around him introduced and studied the hydrodynamic limit for stochastic particle systems. For the future, my focus is on the Eulerian hydrodynamic limit for integrable classical particle systems, in particular the Toda fluid.
